Why CryptApps exists
Finding crypto software for Windows is harder than it should be. Search results mix official downloads with lookalike sites, outdated forum posts and repackaged installers. Projects get abandoned quietly, and a wallet that was a good choice three years ago may not receive security fixes today.
CryptApps puts everything in one place: what each program does, who it is for, how to install it on Windows, what to watch out for, and which alternatives exist. Every page links only to the developer's official website or source repository.
What we cover
We cover desktop software that runs on Windows: wallets and hardware wallet companions, full nodes and blockchain clients, mining software and managers, trading terminals and bots, portfolio and tax tools, Web3 development and smart contract security tools, decentralized storage, Nostr clients and more. Browser extensions and web-only services appear only when they are the main way to use a project on Windows, and we label them clearly.
What we don't do
- We don't host or repackage installers. The Download button opens our download page for the program, with pricing details and available options; the developer's official site and repository are always listed in the review.
- We don't sell rankings. No program can pay to be listed, ranked higher or reviewed more favourably.
- We don't give financial advice. We describe software. We don't tell you what to buy, sell or hold.
- We never ask for seed phrases or private keys. Nobody from CryptApps will ever contact you asking for them.
Independence and funding
CryptApps is independent. We are not owned by, and do not represent, any wallet, exchange, mining pool or token project. There are no sponsored reviews. Download pages may show offers from partners, and we may earn a commission when you use them — this never affects a review's content, ranking or verdict. Any change to how we are funded will be reflected on this page first.
How reviews are written
Each review is built from primary sources — the project's official site, source repository, documentation and release notes — and follows the same structure, so you can compare programs quickly. Read the full process in How we write reviews.
